Residence Hotels celebrated 10 years since the opening of the first boutique-hotel in Romania. In the presence of several hundreds of celebrities from the diplomatic world, arts, media and business, Residence Hotels was presented in all its style, reaffirming the status of uniqueness and atmosphere that characterize the hotel brand.
„Residence Hotels is the only 100% Romanian owned chain of boutique-hotels. It is an accomplishment and a personal pride to know that I could give Bucharest a part of the beauty that made him famous in the inter-wars period" says Cristi Penescu, the owner of the Residence Hotels group.
Located near the Arch of Triumph, Residence Hotels are a true declaration of style and elegance, designed to take you in places that you once only dreamed of.
The rooms and hotel spaces are decorated with fine works of art, bronze statues of old silverware and rare China crystal, many of which are antique pieces. The Egyptian cotton or English wool, precious wood and Carrara marble are creating together the unique Residence atmosphere with a fantasy scent.
“The eye for details, accuracy of each decoration, colors and prints are elements that only add value to the moments spent in our boutique-hotels. But what really underlines this Romanian concept is personalized attention given to each of our guests" says Cristi Penescu.
Over the first decade, there have been many famous guests. From the prominent representatives of royal houses and illustrious diplomats to artists, from politicians to movies celebrities, from businessmen to tourists in love with the unique atmosphere of a boutique-hotel.
Prince Paul of Romania and Princess Lia, Nadia Comaneci, Gheorghe Hagi and Ion Tiriac, Cesaria Evora, Murray Abraham, Paul Sorvino, Goran Bregovic, Alexandra Maria Lara, Anna Valle, Daniel Bernhardt, Michael Pare, Diane Pernet and Alex Kingston are just a few among those who have stepped into the world of Residence.
The two hotels, to which you add Club Palace, satisfy every whim. Guests can have dinner at the Mediterranean and International Bio restaurants after they took a swim, during the day, or played tennis. The dinner can then be followed by hours of spa with champagne, chocolate and strawberries. The view of Bucharest by night from the Residence Domenii Plaza’s roof-terrace, accompanied by special music, outlines the dreamlike atmosphere found at the Residence. These are just some of the reasons wherefore the Residence Hotels became the first Romanian member of the European Association of Exclusive Hotels, being included in the "Luxury" and "Charm & Character” categories. Since January 2010, Residence Hotels are among the first members of the Lifestyle Boutique and Lodging Association, the only global association of boutique hotels, located in Los Angeles. Also, Residence Hotels are the first Romanian hotels chosen as CNN partner, associating its name with the largest television network in the world of news and information.
"We walk into a new decade and, once this step made, we promise to continue the story", says Cristi Penescu.
